Both put scheduling, dispatch, estimates and invoices on the phone. Housecall Pro is aimed at home-service pros. Here's how they line up, as straight as I can make it.
01 Housecall Pro pricing
Prices as listed on their site on November 2, 2026.
Their page also shows short-term promotional prices; those aren't listed here. Plans and prices change, so check Housecall Pro’s pricing page for today’s.
02 Price
Mix normal seats and AI seats in one company. Sales tax is added where it applies.
03 Where Housecall Pro is stronger
Housecall Pro is built for home-service pros and it shows: online booking, review management, consumer financing and payments are on every plan, and route optimization, recurring service plans and a sales proposal tool are on the top plan.
It has a big user base and add-ons for calls and marketing campaigns. Online payments and a QuickBooks Online sync are on their plans today; in Tech Ops both are still coming.
04 Where Tech Ops is different
A couple of things Tech Ops doesn't do yet: customers paying invoices online by card, and a live QuickBooks Online sync. Both are coming. Today the invoice list exports to a spreadsheet for your accountant.
05 Which one fits
If you're a residential shop that wants booking, reviews and financing built in, Housecall Pro is worth a look. If you're a small trade shop that lives on sites, equipment and parts on the trucks, and you want one price per person with clients free, that's what I built Tech Ops for.
